Can I use this on the road?

How does the Fantom license plate cover work?
It uses PDLC smart glass that switches between clear and opaque black with a remote control. Learn more on our How It Works page.
Will this fit my vehicle?
It fits standard 6x12 inch license plates in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, so it's virtually universal. See our Fitment Guide.
What's included in the package?
A mounting bracket with frame, PDLC smart glass, anti-theft hardware with a custom Allen key, positive and negative battery wires, a cigarette aux power cable, the remote receiver, an indicator light, the remote, and a Fantom sticker.
Is installation difficult?
No. Installation is straightforward and instructions are included. Follow our Installation Guide, or watch the full install video on YouTube.
Does it require wiring to the battery?
Yes. It includes positive and negative cables for your battery, plus an optional cigarette port cable.
Do I need to drill holes in my car?
No. It attaches with the included mounting hardware, which fits most standard plates.
How do I know if the plate is on or off?
The included indicator light turns on when the plate is in blackout mode.
How durable is the PDLC glass?
It's built for normal road conditions and all weather, but heavy impact can damage it.
Can I use this on a leased or rental vehicle?
Yes. Installation is non-permanent and removes without damage, but check with your leasing company first.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes, a lifetime warranty on all electrical components. Glass and the ribbon cable aren't covered if they're broken, but replacements are available. See Warranty & Replacement Parts.
When will my order ship?
Every order placed before 1 PM Pacific time, Monday through Friday, ships the same day. Orders placed after 1 PM ship the next business day. We don't ship on Saturdays or Sundays, so weekend orders go out on Monday.
How long does shipping take?
Once your order ships, delivery time depends on the shipping method you choose at checkout. You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order is on its way.
What shipping methods do you offer?
We ship with all major carriers. You'll see every available option and its delivery estimate at checkout.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, as long as it hasn't shipped. Because orders placed before 1 PM Pacific time ship the same day, you'll need to contact us before 1 PM Pacific on the day you ordered. Once an order has shipped, it can't be cancelled.
Do you offer refunds or returns?
All sales are final once an order ships. If something arrives defective or a covered part fails, we'll replace it under our lifetime warranty. See our Refund Policy for details.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, installment options like Affirm are available at checkout where eligible.
